How would you answer this question? The goal of discipleship is to become: a) More Christ-like? b) More human? Trick question - it’s both A and B. They are one and the same! Jesus teaches us to become truly human. We are not pressured to become “more spiritual” (in the platonic sense) but rather, we are re-humanized by Christ. This sermon series focuses on how Jesus, true God and true human, restores our own humanity, so that in following him, we become more fully human and truly ourselves.
